Top 3 Books for Those Who Love Soul Growth
Here are three books that I love and highly recommend to those who enjoy deep soul work. These books challenge perceptions of self, family of origin, and how to be a healthier version of yourself.
This is purely my opinion, and I do not receive any money for the information in this article. The books recommended have been extremely helpful in my journey. The links are there for easy access to the books if you want to buy them for yourself!
1. You Can Heal Your Life by Louise L. Hay
This book emphasizes that mental health and physical health are interconnected. The work you do towards healing trauma can also positively impact physical health. This book is ideal for those ready to take a deep dive into healing emotional pain to possibly release other types of illness.
2. Braving the Wilderness by Brené Brown, PhD
I particularly love this Brené Brown book because it cultivates the balance of belonging and standing out. People want to be part of something while simultaneously expressing individualism. This book offers a practical look at how to honor yourself while standing strong either in individualism or collectivism.
3. Waking the Tiger by Peter Levine
This book is a good read for learning about trauma and how small and big experiences impact how we live in the world. The normalization of trauma symptoms is necessary for long-term healing. I highly recommend this book to begin learning about why you do what you do and how to start releasing trauma trapped in the body.
Be Wise. Be Well.
Sincerely,
Erin
